Attend a festival with wildflowers handwork

Seasonal festivals connect us with the rhythms of nature and the cosmos - they create a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves.  Waldorf festivals capture the moods of each season and help us understand those moods inside ourselves.  Festivals also create a sense of community. Join us for one or for all of them!

2024 - 2025 Festivals

michaelmas - lantern walk (September 29th)

A celebration of courage and strength, of facing dragons both internal and external - Michaelmas is a great time to build our own inner courage and strength for the months to come!  As part of our celebration, we will be using marigolds to dye a silk cape golden yellow.  There will be a $15 cost for non-students who want to participate in the dying to cover material costs. (Lake Oswego)

martinmas - lantern walk (November 10th)

At Martinmas, we give protection to our own inner flame that was beginning to shine at Michaelmas, so that we may carry it safely through the dark winter.  With our lanterns lit, we walk signing through the beautiful forest on Mt. Tabor.  (Mt. Tabor)

spiral walk (December 8th)

This festival honors the slowness of the natural world and recognizes the light within us that we must carry through the dark days of winter. (Lake Oswego)

candlemas - (february 2nd)

Candlemas falls halfway between winter solstice and the spring equinox.  It is both a festival of light, but also a celebration of the lengthening days.  There will be a $5 fee for this workshop for non-students to cover material costs.

may day - (may 4th)

A celebration of Spring and the coming growing season, come dance around the maypole and make flower crowns with us.  (Lake Oswego)
